General Questions

What is YHNC1B?

The much more easily typed abbreviation for YouHaveNotChangedOneBit. YHNC1B.com forwards to our site.

Is YouHaveNotChangedOneBit.com too long a domain name?

No. Typing domains is Web 1.0. Think Autofill. Everyone clicks domain names these days.

Does YHNC1B cost money to join or play the matching games?

No. Members can join and play games for free. Group owners, typically the reunion committee, pay a small monthly fee to help feed our kids and cover the costs for storing the photos. This keeps us from having to smother the site in annoying flashing advertisements.

Why do alumnae/i offices want to have their alumnae/i play YHNC1B...

Average attendance at a reunion is 20%. A study at Middlebury indicated that promoting reunions increases alumnae/i giving.

Does YHNC1B improve reunion attendance?

From interviews with potential attendees, they are afraid of the following...
1) Their ex significant others have done better than they have in life.
2) They might not recognize people.
3) They are embarrassed about being overweight, divorced, still single, etc...
YHNC1B helps by letting potential attendees "see" each other before the reunion event and find out that they still have lots in common with their former colleagues. YHNC1B breaks down the barriers to attendance.

How do I build momentum for a new group?

We suggest digitizing and uploading old photos, then sending an invite to each person to contribute a recent photo.

How can I get digitized images of old photos?

We suggest sending old photos or a yearbook to our photo digitization partner DigitalPickle.com. We provide a discount. Reviews are at: http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2007/moneymag/0712/gallery.digitize_memories.moneymag/index.html

Why didn't you build YHNC1B as a Facebook application?

We did not want to depend on advertising revenue for our initial deployment. We may develop a Facebook application later to build momentum for future service offerings.
